Markets continue to surprise investors, creating the illusion for some that stocks only go up. Stocks indexes were generally strong despite the war in the middle east and related oil concerns, and questions about AI over-exuberance. Growth stocks, especially technology, and even more so semiconductor stocks surged, but may be part of a bubble. Economic signals like inflation and GDP are mixed. The new Fed Chairman may influence the economy with a strong inflation-fighting stance. 401k plan participation nationally is growing, as are savings rates.
